Sound and music guide what we feel and believe.

Classical music, contemporary electronics, myths and archetypes – composer Martina Eisenreich lets them resonate in a distinctive musical voice. Her music reaches audiences in concert halls, cinemas, and intimate art spaces alike.

Her most notable film compositions include the scores for Herrhausen - The Banker and the Bomb, nominated for the 2025 International Emmy Awards and honored with the German Television Award for Best Music, and for the Paramount series One Trillion Dollars. Her offbeat, darkly whimsical fairy-tale operetta Aschenbrödels Traum recently entered the repertoire of the Vienna Volksoper.

  • She was the first woman ever to win the German Film Music Award, for her score to Tatort - Waldlust, directed by Axel Ranisch, and later composed the music for his opera feature film Orphea in Love, which won the Grand Prix Golden Prague. Their first joint opera work is currently running in Vienna, with more in development. Eisenreich is a multiple nominee and two-time German Film Music Award winner, most recently for the international series One Trillion Dollars, released by Lakeshore Records.

Today, her work focuses on combining orchestral writing with contemporary electronic music, spanning film scores, opera and concert works, aiming to unite artistic relevance and entertainment into powerful impact.

Her more classical film scores include Herrhausen and Bach - A Christmas Miracle, recorded with the St. Thomas Boys Choir of Leipzig, countertenor Andreas Scholl, leading European baroque ensembles and contemporary electronics.

Earlier in her career, she toured extensively across Europe with her own ensemble. Her fascination with the archaic sounds of her native Upper Bavaria was kindled in early childhood.

At fifteen she began studying composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, later specializing in film scoring, sound design and contemporary music in Munich and Ludwigsburg, where she deepened her passion for dramaturgical work in film, opera and music theatre.

Martina Eisenreich is listed among the most frequently performed composers in German orchestral concert series. She has received numerous honors, including the German Record Critics’ Award, the Upper Bavarian Culture Award, a German Music Authors’ Prize nomination, several nominations for the German Television Award for Best Music, and the Rolf Hans Müller Prize for Film Scoring. Two student films featuring her early film scores earned Student Academy Award nominations and wins, and her first symphonic score, Moonman, was immediately adopted into the concert repertoire of the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg.
